Shiba Inu Gains 220% In A Week And Ethereum Founder Criticizes El Salvador’s Bitcoin Economy

Non other than Big Short contrarian investor Michael Burry took to Twitter to criticize Shiba Inu, the meme cryptocurrency that aims to copy Dogecoin. As Shiba Inu topped 220% of gains in a week, Burry, who famously predicted the 2008 financial crash, wrote in a now deleted tweet:
Just saying, one quadrillion seconds is about 32 million years. One quadrillion days is 2.7 trillion years, or ALL of TIME, from the beginning of the universe, multiplied by 71,000. In other words, pointless.
With this, Dr Burry claimed that the circulation volume of Shiba Inu (one quadrillion) was the reason why he would never invest. Other crypto enthusiasts didn’t share his opinion and sent the memecoin soaring.
Unpopular opinion
Writing in the Reddit forum unpopular opinion under his pen name vbuterin, Ethereum founder and CEO Vitalik Buterin has launched a scathing attack on the Bitcoin economy that the president of El Salvador has launched about a month ago.
"This tactic of pushing BTC to millions of people in El Salvador at the same time with almost no attempt at prior education is reckless, and risks a large number of innocent people getting hacked or scammed."https://t.co/qKfUrQ8mrw

Though it could be easy to assume that Vitalik, who’s normally rather shy and mostly stays away from social media, decided it was time to start attacking Bitcoin, his theorem as presented had some interesting points.
Vitalik mostly criticized the President of El Salvador, Nayab Bukele, and said that:
The point is, if tomorrow he turns out to be a dictator, as many people feared. Just like in Silk Road, Crypto got bad name even though Fiat is am widely used, most trusted means of doing transactions between criminals, still some people have that perception that Crypto is used only in illegal business.
Mr Bukele’s actions will be tied to Crypto somehow and it would definitely bring a bad name to Crypto and its community
