The history of Digibyte’s price
Digibyte was launched in 2014 by Jared Tate, this project focuses on high transactions speeds and security. The first trading price at the time of the listing was $0.0016 and had a very small price movement until 2017. In 2017, the Digibyte price started to take off due to the bull market. In December 2017, the DGB price suddenly raised up to 120% in just twelve hours. The price skyrocketed in the beginning of 2018 and went down after that.
Jared Tate had during 2018 a big fight with Binance, he publicly said that the Binance listing fees were too high, even though DGB had won some listing competitions. Tate said that the fee was more than 2 million dollars.
2019 was also a bad year for Digibyte and the price saw a decline from $0,01 to $0,005. The battle with exchanges continues as Digibyte was also suddenly delisted from Poloniex. The delisting was because of a fight between Tate and Justin Sun. Justin Sun happens to be the CEO of Poloniex and Tron.
The year 2020 was actually a better year for the Digibyte price and it showed some signs of live. Mid-2020 Jared Tate told the community that he steps down from the daily operations and the price declined with almost 20%. The founder made sure that he is not selling his big holdings of the DGB-tokens.
With Jared Tate stepping down, a lot of exchanges are open to list DGB. In 2020 Digibyte got listed on Binance and there’s a rumor that Coinbase is also looking at it.
