Bitcoin Futures ETF Approved And Russian “Hydra” Reigns Supreme On DarkNet
Gary Gensler, the SEC’s appointed tough guy who vowed to come down hard on crypto, bowed down to the desire of Wall Street who really didn’t want to miss out on Bitcoin anymore. Because of this investor sentiment, the SEC has approved a Bitcoin futures ETF which will shortly be launched, offering Bitcoin to a wider range of investment.
Analysts agree that this was the main reason why Bitcoin was able to break over $60,000 this weekend.
At this time, the #BitcoinETF rumours haven't really impacted price that much, technically$BTC still continues to reside at major resistance— Rekt Capital (@rektcapital) October 15, 2021

Meanwhile, over on the DarkNet, the Russians are taking over the White House.
Hail, Hydra! Immortal Hydra! We shall never be destroyed! Cut off a limb and two more shall take its place! We serve none but the Master—as the world shall soon serve us!
This was the speech that announced the arrival of Hydra, a fictional terrorist organization which came to the fore in the Marvel comics which have since been turned into global blockbuster movies. As Hydra became the organization going up against Captain America, played by Chris Evans, a Russian hacker collective thought it wise to name their DarkNet marketplace in a similar fashion.
Silk Road, White House and Hydra
By the end of 2020, darknet markets (where illegal goods like substances, weapons and the like can be purchased using crypto as payment) set new records as marketplaces like ‘White House’ and the Russian-language Hydra led the pack. Twenty years ago, the illustrious Silk Road website started a trend which many copycats have since taken over.
White House Market is offline. It was the #1 market for over a year, the most secure darknet market to date. It mandated rigorous PGP encryption, only supported Monero.— dark.fail (@DarkDotFail) October 12, 2021
Mr_white announced their impending retirement weeks ago. There is no indication of compromise.
By now, the largest darknet market, known as the White House Market, announced the end of operations. After revealing their retirement plans, White House Market administrators explained that new user registration and orders had been disabled.
Hydra meanwhile managed to grow at an impressive 624% year-over-year growth rate in three years, and researchers estimate roughly 75% of illicit transactions on the darker parts of the internet now come from the Russian marketplace.
Monero apparently is traded in 84% of all sales on three of the top marketplaces. In fact, privacy coin Monero has become the accepted digital coin of choice ever since the FBI was able to trace the hackers who asked for Bitcoin payment in return for the release of a US pipeline.
Marvel has (apparently) realized this a long time ago already. Back in 2017, someone had redirected the URL for the text Hail Hydra to the Trump White House. Marvel Comics immediately bought the trademark. No idea what those Russian hackers think about that.
