Just like with crypto trading, whoever holds the private key to a NFT is the rightful owner of that NFT

Although it cannot yet rival the true art market (of Sothebys) and such, just as Bitcoin cannot rival the banking sector as of yet, it is another stepping stone towards global acceptance.

Rick and Morty is a cartoon series best known for its bizarre and often crude jokes as well as its scientific explanations which ties its stories together in a very bizarre way. Justin Roiland, creator of the show, has been a Bitcoin follower since 2015.
Bit coins huh?! What's the back story? pic.twitter.com/X1c2uAw9xf— Justin Roiland (@JustinRoiland) September 13, 2015
A small sub-plot which got a lot of attention on the Adult Swim network, where it airs, and in the overall USA was when the cartoon revealed Rick’s devotion to a particular sauce which had been discontinued by a fast food chain. the Szechuan sauce.
In the infamous cartoon clip, Rick said:
In 1998, they [McDonald’s] had this promotion for the Disney film Mulan where they created a new sauce for the McNuggets called Szechuan sauce and it’s delicious! And they got rid of it and now it’s gone. This is the only place where we areg oing to be able to try it, it’s in my memory.
McDonalds relaunched the sauce in 2017 as it knew how many fans the series had garnered. Because of the number of people that showed up to purchase the product, it caused a riot.
