Which are AI’s favorite altcoins for December 2023?

Last Updated on 4 March 2024 by CryptoTips.eu

Two weeks ago we asked some AI chatbots what they thought Bitcoin would do in December. They were all quite positive about the largest digital currency and it now turns out that they were right. Bitcoin has been trading above $40k for several days and is making headlines all around the world.

Several altcoins have also exploded during that period, although Bitcoin’s dominance currently makes a real altseason impossible (an altseason occurs when 50 of the largest altcoins from the top 75 of all coins outperform Bitcoin, and this during a period of three months).

Grok

Again, if you haven’t tried an AI Chatbot yet this year, you’re missing out. There are now several. In addition to the best known, ChatGPT, there is also Bard (from Google), Grok (from X, formerly Twitter), CodeWhisperer from Amazon, My AI from Snapchat and many others.

We asked them all which altcoins would do well this month and, taking into account the stellar performance of Bitcoin these last few days, their answer was quite positive. Here are some of their favorites.

Ethereum

The choice of different chatbots for Ethereum is understandable. Ethereum is the uncrowned successor to Bitcoin and many expect Vitalik Buterin’s coin to one day take over the top spot.

Ethereum’s switch from proof of work to proof of stake makes it much easier for ESG-conscious investors to choose Ethereum instead of Bitcoin.

When Bitcoin was trading at an ATH of $69,000 in 2021, you paid about $4,700 for 1 Ethereum. In essence, it means that Ether has some way to go if we’re starting a new bull run for crypto.

Dogecoin

Memecoins may have started mainly as a joke, but Dogecoin has become an indispensable part of the world of crypto.

The coin which features the image of a Shiba Inu dog went from a few cents to $0.70 during the last bull run of 2020-2021 and caused a great deal of FOMO.

There are several copies of the original memecoin, such as Shiba Inu and Pepe for example, but there is only one real Dogecoin, and it is still the largest memecoin in the world.

Grok in particular (the AI-Chatbot from X, formerly Twitter) turned out to be a very big cheerleader. Given that X was acquired by Elon Musk in 2022, who’s a self-proclaimed Dogecoin fan, this is not too surprising.

Solana

Finally, many AI Chatbots also pointed to Solana, the so-called Ethereum killer.

Solana became so popular in 2020 and 2021 that its largest investor became Sam Bankman-Fried, the founder of the then very popular platform FTX. Both FTX and Alameda (his investment firm run by his ex, Caroline Ellison) bought hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of Solana cryptocurrencies. When FTX went bankrupt in November 2022, Solana’s price also collapsed.

Since the conviction of Sam Bankman-Fried in early November last year, it became clear that Solana was not affected by the FTX demise. The currency has soared in price ever since then.

Several AI Chatbots believe Solana could attack its 2021 ATH in the coming months.
