Hyperliquid briefly closed at $62 yesterday, which is a new ATH for the cryptocurrency. The Hyperliquid crypto platform allows you to invest in virtually every asset class using crypto. This is proving to be very popular in 2026, and Hyperliquid is therefore the top cryptocurrency of 2026 in Coinmarketcap’s top 100.

Privacy coins are digital coins developed for anonymity. They had a banner year in 2025. ZCash surged by no less than 600%, and Monero also rose by 100%. Dash performed much less well with a gain of around 12%, but as the name of that cryptocurrency is the same as the stock Doordash, that is not too surprising.

2026, on the other hand, looks set to be the year of new tech IPOs (think of Open AI and SpaceX) and crypto platforms where you can trade just about anything.

In this category, Hyperliquid is standing out as a major winner. After all, that platform allows you to trade in oil, for example, 24 hours a day. So during the war between Iran and the United States, while stock exchanges are closed over the weekend, Hyperliquid simply carries on.

Hype, the platform’s coin, is therefore having a fabulous 2026. After the coin touched a price of $50 for the first time last year (during Bitcoin’s ATH), Hype, like all other altcoins, fell into a deep slump during the so-called ‘crypto winter’. but Hype has since made a full comeback and was yesterday trading at an ATH of $62.
