As the Verge halving is now only 5 days away, Verge looks like it is mooning on a year chart. The privacy coin once founded as DogeCoinDark has been out of the spotlight for most of 2020 given that it has descended towards an all time low of $0,001 as the ICO bullrun of 2017-2018 ended in disaster for many of the smaller altcoins.

Verge was rebranded back in 2016 in order to stop any confusion that it was part of or had any affiliation with DogeCoin. 2020 has been pretty silent so far for Verge.

However, with Bitcoin interest soaring and investors wanting to grab hold of any small altcoin they can get their hands on, Verge has skyrocketed in the past few months to $0,013. The clear spikes in the chart over that time, accompanied with a rising trading volume, show that much more may be on the horizon afterwards.

The current price of Verge (XVG) is $0.012990 and it’s up 7% for this week and 75% in the past 30 days. Today we see a slight decline of 1,28%

Verge halving 2021

Verge (XVG) will find its halving on 25 January as soon as block 4,700,000 is mined. That is the moment when the current reward of 200 XVG will drop down to 100 XVG every 30 seconds. This will be the third halving of Verge and investors are hoping that the coin will make a comeback.

If Verge were to react to this halving just as Bitcoin did as from May 2020, then it might start to crawl back to its 2017 heights.

Exchanges are delisting XMR, DASH, Other privacy coins... what about xvg? from vergecurrency

Some commenters on Reddit asked whether the fact that crypto exchanges were delisting XMR, Dash and Zcash over privacy concerns could have consequences for XVG, with the top answer being that XVG has an option to turn privacy on/off and therefore has not been mentioned yet.

CES2021

Verge (XVG) was also presenting at CES2021 in Las Vegas in cooperation with its partner Voice Life, with whom it is rolling out a wireless power charger for smartphones. Both companies claim to be able to introduce a revolutionary change.

YouTube video

The video that was launched on YouTube along with the updates from CES indeed look promising so this might be something to be on the lookout for.
