Price of American eggs rises faster than the price of Bitcoin

I’ve discussed this briefly last week already and now it’s taken on another dimension: the price of eggs is skyrocketing in the US (because of bird flu). Now if there is one thing that Americans were counting on (the late night show hosts constantly remind President Trump of this), it is that the price of various products from the supermarket is too high.
Trump @realDonaldTrump pledged to lower prices right away and support the crypto industry during his campaign.

In 2025, the price of eggs has seen a 53% increase, while #Bitcoin has only risen by 2%.

Unfortunately, President Trump has little control over that at the moment. So far in 2025, the price of eggs in American supermarkets has risen by 53%. Bitcoin, on the other hand, showed a gain of (only) 2% compared to the beginning of the year.

Donald Trump vowed to slash grocery prices, but instead, eggs are pumping harder than Bitcoin.

They usually agreed to his demands, while consumers hoped that he would mainly focus on controlling the price of everyday goods, such as eggs.
Can’t believe I’m liquidating my eggs, which has severely outperformed bitcoin. 😩

Anyway, retweet this and maybe you’ll win a dozen eggs or something. pic.twitter.com/S2BDLPPOjX
In recent days therefore, a trend has emerged on the internet in which Americans recommend each other to invest in eggs, which are practically the new gold. In fact, ever since January 3, the price of a dozen large eggs has soared to $7.50. During the same time frame Bitcoin crawled up by just 2%. Even worse for Bitcoin fans is that ever since Trump’s second term began, eggs are up 13%, while Bitcoin dropped 4%.
