No, Trump didn’t hang the Bitcoin Whitepaper in the Oval Office, that’s Fake News

A video of President Donald Trump showing the Bitcoin Whitepaper, which is nicely framed and hanging behind a curtain in the Oval Office is making the rounds on the internet. Unfortunately, it’s fake news.

1776

A week ago, President Donald Trump invited one of his favorite reporters, Fox anchor Laura Ingraham, for a tour of the White House. He also gave her a tour of the Oval Office and proudly showed off how he had hung the 1776 Declaration of Independence on the wall, ceremonially behind a curtain. As he slowly opened the curtains to reveal the document to Laura, Trump said, “Do you think Joe Biden would have done this? I don’t think so.”

YouTube video

Ever since then, that video has been copied and forged many times, with all sorts of very funny endings in which Trump shows something items each time.

Fake

For crypto fans, the video in which Trump opens the curtain and shows a copy of the famous Bitcoin Whitepaper is especially fun, and that’s why it went viral on social media this week. Of course it’s a fake.

Trump promised to be a real crypto president but has not yet implemented many of those plans and promises. Hopefully that will change soon.
