New York Times says they know who’s Satoshi Nakamoto

Last week, an old clip of John McAfee went viral on various social media platforms. In it, the (now deceased) antivirus mogul claimed that the Bitcoin founder had unwillingly revealed himself through the layout and style of his own Bitcoin White Paper. In it, all words that can be spelled in different American and English ways, are put in there in the British version, and two blank spaces are left after every sentence. Because of this, McAfee claimed, the founder of Bitcoin is most likely a British national.

Furthermore, the fact that the inscription on the Genesis Block refers to a title from the Times of London, a British newspaper, is also a good tip.
The New York Times allowed an investigative journalist to study the mystery for about 18 months, and he (John Carreyrou) concluded that Satoshi Nakamoto is none other than Adam Back, a well-known British crypto enthusiast.
The latter denies it, however, although there are quite a few other people convinced that it is indeed Back.
i'm not satoshi, but I was early in laser focus on the positive societal implications of cryptography, online privacy and electronic cash, hence my ~1992 onwards active interest in applied research on ecash, privacy tech on cypherpunks list which led to hashcash and other ideas.

If that is the case, he is probably one of the richest people in the world. After all, legend has it that Satoshi kept the first 1.1 million Bitcoins, mined for a few cents, for himself.
Even at the current value of $70,000 per coin, Back is, in other words, a multi-billionaire.
