Ah, the good old Wall Street cheat sheet. From time to time, whether it is the South Sea Bubble, the 1929 crash, the dotcom boom, the 2007-2008 financial crisis, the 2017-2018 ICO bull run or the current bull run, we need to return to the cheat sheet and check where we are.

With this latest news, it could be that we’ve put in a current (temporary top) in crypto so beware and take profits regularly if you can.

As the Wall Street cheat sheet teaches us, as soon as your aunt, celebrities that aren’t known for their stock market analysis and many other nobodies start telling you to buy, we’ve reached the euphoria phase and the time has come to take some profits off the table.

Therefore, take the following news as you want it.

Dog Money

Tiger King star Carole Baskin, who’s known for her love of big cats, has just launched her own cryptocurrency in order to compete with Dogecoin (or as comedian Rémy calls it, Dog Money).

YouTube video

Reality TV-star Baskin became a household name in the US after the breakout success of the Netflix hit Tiger King. Her antics have been memed and copied all over the internet, which makes it therefore less surprising that she also jumps in and profits off her celebrity status.

The problem is that it’s all a bit too obvious. In the press kit, Baskin emphasized that this is not a currency, but that:

Our new $CAT coin is not a currency for investment, but rather is a purr-ency of our fans to show their love for the cats and to reap the benefits of being our most forward-thinking partners in creating a world where all wild cats live free.

Asked as to why she’s going into crypto right now, Baskin claimed:

I’m investigating cryptocurrencies because I am concerned about the volume of US dollars that are being printed and distributed with nothing to back them up. I like the idea of putting the power of money in the hands of the people, rather than banks and governments.
