There have been so many reports of crypto heists this year, it’s getting hard to keep up. They ranged from kidnappings of relatives of crypto millionaires in Paris to torture in New York. A new trend has now emerged in San Francisco. A man disguised himself as a delivery driver and managed to rob a well-known crypto investor at home. The loot amounted to $11 million.

The victim, who is not named in the police report, is, according to local media, a close friend of Garry Tan, CEO of Y Combinator, which invests in several startups. This is according to a police report obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle. The incident occurred this weekend in the central Mission Dolores neighborhood.

Tan subsequently got into trouble for posting a security camera image online in an attempt to track down the robber. However, as in Europe, this is illegal in the United States.
As previously reported, cryptocrime has been going from bad to worse this year. Last year, a woman was kidnapped and subsequently murdered in Seoul for her crypto fortune, while in France, several well-known crypto millionaires were threatened. Their relatives suffered the same fate. In Paris, the daughter of a crypto millionaire escaped kidnapping in broad daylight.
