Bitcoin crashes just like Asian stock markets – How will the US respond this afternoon?

Last Updated on 7 April 2025 by CryptoTips.eu

Billionaire Bill Ackman says it is quite possible that US President Donald Trump will announce a pause in his tariff policy on Monday in order to make a deal with various other (mostly Western) countries. According to ‘Mad Money’ host Jim Cramer, a ‘Black Monday’ crash like the one in 1987 is also possible.

Bitcoin has fallen by some 10% in the past 24 hours, falling faster after Asian markets this morning showed they continued their slide from last week. What’s next?

Bitcoin and the markets

Just as we were given two different short-term views for Bitcoin’s future direction last week (bullish like Arthur Hayes or bearish like Peter Brandt), this weekend we were given two different views for what lies ahead in markets. Positive, as billionaire Bill Ackman sees it, or negative, as Mad Money host Jim Cramer predicts.

What will it be, and what does it mean for Bitcoin (and gold)?

Blood bath

Well, either Trump pauses, since the bloodbath on the stock markets was much bigger than his advisors had expected, which means there could be a short rally until we see what the US President is prepared to accept from the other Western powers as a counteroffer.

Or he does nothing and just continues with his tariffs. If that happens and the markets see a further decline, then things could turn sour very quickly indeed.

Bitcoin is nearing that very important support line around $75,000. Gold meanwhile clearly preparing for another jump to a new record. It is surely gonna be another very interesting week.
