Apple Pay Enters Crypto Trading with the Lumi Wallet App

Silicon Valley companies like Square and PayPal have a rival in their ranks when it comes to crypto purchasing and trading. Whereas many onlookers agree by now that the 2020 Bitcoin rally, which really took off in the past two months, was mostly due to those two global players declaring their love for crypto, this other one might just make sure that Bitcoin can possibly skyrocket in 2021.
Apple Pay, the Apple app that is pre-installed on every iPhone sold since 2014, will now allow you to purchase most available crypto coins thanks to the Lumi Wallet app.
The news comes only a few days after Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak also launched his own cryptocoin, the WOZX. That’s two in a week’s time for the Cupertino company.
We wonder whether Mr Jobs would agree to seeing his company be aligned to such a “rebellious” and decentralized product.
So now, investors which find it too hard to open their own crypto trading account can thus just do it from their iPhone. Given that it works in the same manner as PayPal intends to roll it out and Square’s Cash App already does, it was of course only a matter of time until more developers would build an app working on alongside Apple Pay.
You can buy #Bitcoin with ApplePay. “Lumi explains that because Apple and its partner banks already completed these (KYC) checks, Apple Pay users do not need to be re-verified in its own app.” https://t.co/qEK8zKXojo

Lumi App
The Lumi app, according to their marketing message, allows investors to purchase USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), Stably (USDS), Binance (BUSD), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Wrapped Ether (WETH), Yearn.finance (YFI), Uniswap (UNI), DAI, AAVE, Basic Attention Token (BAT), Compound (COMP), Curve (CRV), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), HUSD, Chainlink (LINK), Maker (MKR), Paxos Standard Token (PAX), Synthetix (SNX), and Universal Market Access (UMA).

In this manner, Apple Pay can be introduced to the world of crypto and introduces another possible 383 million users to a growing marketplace.
