Altcoins – winners of the past week

Peter Brandt warned us last week and looking at the results of the past few days, we can only confirm it: it’s altseason, and altcoins are performing better than Bitcoin. However, although Bitcoin reaching ever higher ATHs, altcoins are faring differently. Here’s a brief overview of the biggest winners from CoinMarketCap’s top 10.
XRP, Cardano and Dogecoin
Three of the biggest winners in CoinMarketCap’s top 10 are the undeniably “American” cryptocurrencies. Even though crypto is global and can be traded anywhere. The founders of Dogecoin, XRP, and Cardano are Americans, hence these digital currencies are perceived as “American,” which is crucial during this growth cycle. The most recent price surge is being fueled by the fact that the US Congress is considering legislation that will be very favourable for cryptocurrencies. As a result, coins like XRP, Dogecoin, and Cardano are receiving more press coverage, which in turn is helping them attract new investors.
Solana and Ethereum
The second set of winners are the two Bitcoin killers, or the so-called princes of crypto who hope to one day become as big as Bitcoin itself. That hasn’t happened yet for Solana and Ethereum, but they are both getting closer and closer to their own all-time highs.
